Introduction
The Site Assessment Grant Incentive (SAGI) has been developed for cities, towns, and counties to finance environmental site investigation costs for identified brownfields in its jurisdiction. Assessment costs that are eligible for grant funding include Phase I and Phase II site evaluations and related testing. You can view the SAGI guidelines by clicking here.
A total of $1,000,000 in grants will be awarded for site assessments during four funding rounds per calendar year. Funding available in these four (4) round may be used for either Phase I or a Phase II. A Phase I and a Phase II will not be funded for the same site during the same round. Maximum awards per applicant per round are $7,500 (for Phase I activities) and $50,000 (for Phase II activities). Assessment activities conducted at multiple sites in an applicant's jurisdiction are acceptable.

Application Deadline
SAGI Round #27 will begin Monday, September 15, 2008 at 9:00 AM and will end at 5:00 PM on Monday, November 03, 2008.
*All fully completed and digitally verified online applications and supporting materials must be received by IFA no later than 5:00 p.m. on the application deadline. You may send in hard copies of any supporting materials if you are not able to submit them digitally.*
