Introduction
The Low Interest Loan Incentive (LILI) is available to cities, towns, and counties to finance the investigation and remediation of brownfields, including demolition activities and asbestos and lead-based paint abatement. Private parties can co-apply and be third-party recipients of loan funding. Click here to view the LILI guidelines.
Communities are eligible to borrow up to 10% of the total amount in the Brownfields Fund.* Twenty percent of the total loan amount may be forgiven pending the completion of environmental activities and the achievement of economic development goals.
*Loan amounts vary, so please contact a staff member of IFA listed below for further information.
